Outlook: Lakota won’t lack for experience, either overall or in the post-season variety.
Seven Raiders competed at the regional level last year, with six of them doing so in at least two events.
Dussel leads the group, reaching state in the 800 and helping the 4x400 and 4x800 teams make regional appearances.
Diaz, Mason Lowery, Ganues and Tiell are all back after running the 4x100 at regional last year. Diaz and Mason Lowery also competed in the long jump there while Ganues ran with Dussel in the 4x400. Curtis Lowery ran the 300 hurdles at the regional meet and Meyer threw the shot and discus there.
“We have an experienced group of upperclassmen to lead us this season,” Livoti said. “Our kids are excited and motivated to get started. This attitude will hopefully carry through the season. We are looking forward to competition and are striving to be in the top half of the SLL.”
