The Fostoria Rotary Club wants you to nominate a teacher who has made a difference in
your life.
      The Rotary Club is committed to recognizing our excellent teachers. The club hopes the
Golden Apple Award will enhance the public’s respect and admiration for our dedicated teachers
and help attract new people to the teaching profession.
      To honor our teachers, the Rotary will present the Fostoria Rotary Golden Apple Award
each year to two outstanding teachers, one from Fostoria Community Schools and one from St.
Wendelin Schools. The two Golden Apple recipients will each receive $1,000 cash awards and
the runner up Red Apple recipients will also receive cash prizes.
     The public is encouraged to nominate teachers who have by their dedication made dramatic
differences in the lives of their students.
     Nominees must teach full-time in one of Fostoria’s school districts, have taught a minimum
of three years in that system, and spend a majority of their time in the classroom. (Self nominations
will not be accepted and teachers may not receive the Golden Apple more than once.)
